  2. Light the leaf. Set a small pinch of loose leaf on a lit charcoal disc, or light a small cluster directly and gently blow out the flame so it smolders.
  3. Move through the room. Direct the resinous smoke where you wish, moving slowly and clockwise through the space with your intention.
  4. Extinguish and store. Press the embers into sand or salt until the smoke stops completely, then reseal the pouch and store it cool and dry.
