Can I use these whole hops flowers for brewing beer as well as tea?

Yes. These are whole Humulus lupulus flowers, the same form brewers reach for, so they work beautifully in the kettle and in the teapot alike. For an infusion we steep them gently to keep their aromatic oils intact, and the lavender, spearmint, and grassy notes come through clean. For brewing, the intact flowers give you the aroma and character you would expect from quality bulk hops.

Will hops help me wind down in the evening?

Hops has a long, well-loved place in European herbal tradition as an evening, settle-in botanical, and that is how most of our customers reach for it: as a calming nighttime tea or as part of a restful sleep blend. Your experience is your own, but the traditional use is centuries deep, and the gentle, lavender-soft aroma is a pleasure in its own right.

How do I know these hops are clean and fresh?

Every lot is tested by an independent third-party laboratory before release, screened for microbial contaminants, heavy metals, and identity and foreign matter, and we publish the signed Certificate of Analysis for every lot. We also dry our hops in small, controlled batches and seal them in a resealable pouch, which protects the aromatic oils that give whole flowers their character.

Are whole hops flowers better than pellets for tea?

For tea and infusions we prefer whole flowers. The intact cone holds onto its volatile aromatic oils, the lupulin, more gently than a milled pellet, so the cup tastes brighter and more aromatic. Whole flowers are also easy to measure by eye and strain cleanly, which makes them a natural fit for loose-leaf brewing and herbal sleep blends.
