Step by Step How to Grow Cardamom From Seeds!

# 1 | Place your seeds in a clean bowl and pour hot water over them until they are completely covered. Allow them to soak in that water for 24-48 hours.

#2 | Fill your planting pot (make sure it has good drainage holes) with a combination of one part seed-starting mix and one part sand. Mix the sand and starter mix evenly.

#3 | Sow your cardamom seeds on the surface of your planting mix. Space each seed about 1-inch apart and cover your cardamom seeds with 1/4 inch of damp sand.

#4 | Cover your the pot with plastic wrap, to keep the mix and sand moist and place it in an area where temperatures remain between 70 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Check your soil mix daily, and make sure it damp.

#5 | Cardamom seeds usually are slow to germinate, usually taking between 30-90 days. It's vitally important that the soil stays evenly moist during this time.
