How to Eastern White Pine Trees from Seed!


# 1 | Place your eastern white pine in a bowl and soak in water for 12-24 hours.


#2 | Drain the water from your eastern white pine seeds but do not let them dry out. Take your now moist eastern white pine seeds and place them in between two moist paper towels and place inside the refrigerator for 60 to 90 days. Do not allow the seeds to freeze or dry out. After the seeds have stratified for 60 to 90 days, remove your seeds from the refrigerator.


# 3 | Prepare a potting mixture of three parts potting soil, one part peat moss, one part pine bark and one part sand. Cover the seed with one-quarter inch of the potting mixture. Water well, and find a place with plenty of sun.


# 3 | Keep your potting mixture in the pots uniformly moist. The key to successfully eastern white pine seed germination is consistent, even moisture. Never allow the surface of the planting mix to dry out completely.
