How to Loblolly Pine Trees from Seed!
# 1 | Place your loblolly seeds in the freezer for 7 days. After 7 days remove your loblolly seeds from the freezer and allow them to naturally warm to room temperature. Place your loblolly seeds in a bowl and soak in water for 24 hours.
#2 | Drain the water from your loblolly seeds but do not let them dry out. Take your now moist loblolly seeds and place them in the refrigerator for 60 to 90 days. Do not allow the seeds to freeze. After the seeds have stratified for 60 to 90 days, remove your seeds from the refrigerator.
# 3 | Prepare a potting mixture of three parts potting soil, one part peat moss, one part pine bark and one part sand. Cover the seed with one-quarter inch of the potting mixture. Water well, and find a place with plenty of sun.
# 3 | Keep your potting mixture in the pots uniformly moist. The key too sucessfully loblolly seed germination is consistent, even moisture. Never allow the surface of the planting mix to dry out completely.
