Growing Your Rocky Mountain Juniper Seeds.

 

# 1 | Soak your rocky mountain juniper seeds in warm water, let stand in water for 48 hours.

 

# 2 | Placing your rocky mountain juniper tree seeds in some moistened peat and place them in a closed container or sealed plastic bag. Store your container somewhere where the temperature remains between 68 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit, and check daily to make sure the peat stays moist but not wet. Leave in the container for 60-80 days.

 

# 3 | Once your seeds have warm stratified, remove them and fill the container or bag with damp sand. Cover each seed with damp sand and place in the refrigerator for 60-180 days. Check for signs of germination after 60 days. Check daily to make sure the sand is still damp. Seeds can also be planted outdoors in July or August for germination the following year.

 

# 3 | Plant seeds 1/4 in deep, and press soil firmly. Keep soil moist until germination occurs.
