Copy/paste into Shopify; bold each question, make the heading an H2.
What is the difference between cut & sifted basil and whole basil leaf?
Cut & sifted basil is chopped, then screened to a uniform size so it steeps quickly and blends evenly in spice rubs. Whole leaf keeps the leaves intact; it needs longer steep time or crumbling before culinary use but offers slightly brighter top-notes if re-hydrated first.
How do I brew basil leaf tea for digestion?
Use 1 teaspoon (≈ 1 g) of dried cut & sifted basil per 8 oz just-off-boil water. Cover and steep 5–7 minutes, then strain. Drink up to three cups daily after meals to soothe gas and support healthy digestion.
Does dried basil retain its flavour compared to fresh?
Yes, when basil is low-temperature dried and stored in oxygen-barrier bags (like ours), the eugenol and linalool oils stay potent for 24–36 months. Substitute 1 tsp dried for 1 Tbsp fresh in most recipes.
Is your basil organic and non-GMO?
Our basil is regeneratively grown without synthetic pesticides or herbicides, lab-tested for purity, and verified non-GMO.
How long is the shelf life of dried basil leaf?
Sealed in a cool, dark cupboard, flavor remains peak for 24–36 months. After opening, reseal the inner liner or transfer to an airtight jar to keep moisture out.
Can I use this bulk basil to make pesto?
Yes. Re-hydrate 2 Tbsp dried basil in 2 Tbsp warm water for 5 minutes, then blend with ¼ cup olive oil, 2 Tbsp pine nuts, 1 garlic clove, and 2 Tbsp Parmesan for instant pantry pesto.
