Growing pawpaw trees from seeds can take a little bit of patience. Pawpaw trees do require a little extra attention for the first few years. If you are growing your papaw tree to produce nuts and not just provide shade, you will want to plant more than one so they can cross-pollinate. Pawpaw seeds germinate slowly, because they possess dormant embryos and slowly permeable seed coats. We recommend keeping the seeds in a cool, moist environment during germination.

How To Grow PawPaw From Seeds
# 1 | Place the pawpaw seeds in an even mix of barely damp sand and peat pot and then put that in the refrigerator.
# 2 | After 80-100 days, remove the seeds from the refrigerator and plant in potting soil.
# 3 | Keep the potting soil evenly moist and warm until the seeds germinate (should be 20-28 days)
